Daring to Trust the Boss by Susan Meier

Synopsis via Goodreads...

The magic of the Mediterranean…

When accountant Olivia Prentiss joins Tucker Engle's company, she's unceremoniously demoted—to stand in as his PA! However, Tucker's not in for an easy ride. Olivia's worked hard to get where she is now, and refuses to bow to her gorgeous boss's commands—however fearsome his reputation.

But soon Olivia begins to see there is far more to her boss than meets the eye. And on a business trip to Italy, she sees straight through Tucker's hard and proud exterior to a man with a far more vulnerable edge.

The book starts out as Olivia going to her new job.  When she gets there, instead of getting right into her job she is chosen to stand in as a PA for the company president.  She is pissed and angry and Tucker (the company president) makes her day worse.  But since she wants the job, she decides to stand in as a PA even though she really dislikes Tucker's attitude towards her.

Tucker is cold and uncaring towards everyone.  All he thinks about is his job and how he could grow his company even bigger.  Of course there's a reason as to why he is acting like a jerk all the time.  Once Olivia spends time with him, she discovers that under all that hard exterior, Tucker is just protecting himself from others.  He doesn't trust anyone.  But as they work together more and more, their relationship blossoms into something more.

It's a fun and quick read.  I have a wonderful time reading it.  Check it out if you don't want anything heavy. Have fun reading! :)
